In the test environment, if the following error occurs when you try to modify the topology of the search service application:

The best solution should be to change and keep the original index component, apply once. Then remove the original index Comonent and apply again.

The author is in a test environment, so there is no issue that the index service is affected, so the index is directly reset.

Try the apply command set-spenterprisesearchtopology again, and the application is successful!

 

Therefore, if the graph is easy to use, the reset index can also solve this error.
