Just as a plane has a limited number of seats, the number of passengers will be limited. Wireless routers are limited by the hardware and software of routers and the maximum number of wireless connections.
Note: The wireless access capability of different vrouters may be different.
When the maximum number of connected wireless terminals is reached, the new wireless terminal cannot connect to the router signal. For example, the maximum number of wireless connections to a wireless router is 16. When 16 wireless terminals are connected, new terminals cannot be connected. After the connected wireless terminal is disconnected, A new wireless terminal can be connected successfully.
Our home routers can meet the terminal access needs of home users. If the number of environment terminals you use exceeds the maximum load of a single wireless router, you can increase the number of wireless devices by networking.
Increase the number of wireless devices
Solution 1: Wired cascade
Add one or more wireless routers and connect the WAN port or LAN port to the LAN port of the primary router, as shown in the following figure:
Router-level association case
Wireless terminals are separately connected to the signal of each wireless router to access the Internet. The total number of wireless devices is the sum of the number of wireless devices connected to each wireless router. However, limited by the total number of leading devices (total number of wired and wireless networks) of the primary router, if the total number of connecting terminals on the entire network is too large, the total number of leading devices on the primary router is exceeded, the primary router may be unable to load and the network is unstable.
In general, this solution can make good use of existing routers, with a low investment cost. The disadvantage is that the network cable needs to be connected to various devices, and the configuration is complex and inconvenient to manage.
Solution 2: HyFi set networking
Using a HyFi router with multiple HyFi extenders, the network can be expanded through the existing power lines in the environment, which can increase the number of wireless devices in the entire network, as shown in the figure below:
HyFi
Smart Wireless
Solution
Note: a HyFi router can be used with a maximum of seven HyFi extenders.
The total number of wireless bands in the network is the sum of the number of wireless bands of the HyFi router and the HyFi extender, but it is limited by the total number of bands of the HyFi router. If the total number of connected terminals on the entire network exceeds the total number of hosts on the HyFi router, HyFi router may fail to load and the network is unstable.
In general, this solution requires a new HyFi package, which is simple, fast, easy to configure, elegant, and elegant. It is the best solution for household wireless networking.
Solution 3: AP + AC Networking
If you need to provide wireless networks for more than 50 wireless terminals, we recommend that you use our commercial wireless AP and AC controller for networking. A wireless AP can be added based on the number of terminals. A single AC can control up to 1000 APS, so the capacity is very large. As shown in the following figure:
TP-LINK
Wireless networking
Solution
The wireless connection volume of the entire network is equal to the wireless connection volume of each AP, which can meet the wireless access needs of various environments.
This solution features outstanding scalability, large number of hosts, and centralized management. You can set Portal, WeChat, WEB authentication, and other access authentication methods to protect network security.
