Tplink router bridging off line one, main router signal strength
When no bridging settings are made, the direct connection to the main router can stabilize the Internet. However, with the wireless WDS Bridge to form a new network, frequent internet instability or the phenomenon of wireless drop.
A weak wireless signal on the primary router may cause the bridge link to become unstable, as shown in the following illustration.
Workaround. Try to adjust the location of the router or reduce the distance between the secondary router and the primary router to ensure that the signal strength of the secondary router scanning to the main router is greater than 20dB.
Tplink Router bridge off the line two, the bridge is not set up properly
When you set up a bridge, you do not have a DHCP server that shuts down the secondary router or modify the LAN port IP address, causing the bridge to be unstable.
Workaround. When you set up bridging functionality, make sure that the DHCP server for the secondary router is turned off (not enabled), as shown in the following illustration.
Login to the secondary router management interface to confirm that the LAN port IP address of the secondary router has been modified and does not conflict with the primary router (not the same).
Tplink router bridging off the wire three, wireless interference
When you turn on the WDS Scan wireless signal, you can see a lot of wireless signals around, too much wireless interference caused by wireless instability. As shown in the following figure.
Workaround. Select the wireless channel on the main router to be 1, 6, 11. If it is a dual-frequency router, it is recommended to use the 5G band for bridging. Also try to stay away from the microwave, cordless phones and wireless mouse keyboards.
Tplink Router bridge off the line four, access terminals more than the number of machines
WDS bridging does not improve the router's wireless band, if the number of wireless devices, more than the wireless router with the number of machines, will lead to instability.
Workaround. To view the host status in your wireless settings, if you have too many wireless terminals, it is recommended that you set up wireless MAC address filtering to limit the number of wireless connections or replace the wireless router with a larger size.
