Tplink Router VPN Client setting method

1, in the lower right corner of the desktop right click on the network icon, choose to open the network and Sharing Center, click to set up a new connection or network, set up a new connection.

2, according to the Setup wizard to start setting, select Connect to the workspace, the following figure:

3. Select the connection mode

Choose to use my Internet connection (VPN) (i), as shown in the following figure:

4, set the VPN server IP address and VPN client name (for example, the Headquarters VPN server), the following figure:

5, complete the PPTP VPN account number, the password, fills in completes clicks the connection, the following figure:

6, skip the current connection, click Skip, the following figure:

The client adds complete, requires further parameter configuration, continues the next step.

Locate the VPN client in the network and Sharing Center >> change adapter settings, right-click and select Properties, select the VPN type in the network as Point-to-Point Tunneling (PPTP), and select the encryption you want, as shown in the following figure:

After you save the parameter settings, try the VPN connection and continue to the next step.

Double-click the VPN client, fill in the PPTP account, password, click Connect, the following figure:

When the connection succeeds, the VPN client becomes blue. The following figure:

After successful connection, you can right-click on the VPN client, select the status >> details, and view the IP address, negotiation information and other parameters obtained.

At this point, the VPN connection is successful, you can access the headquarters network through the VPN tunnel, or you can surf through the VPN server (depending on the settings on the VPN server side).

If you need to modify the client that you have set up, you can right-click on the VPN client, select Properties, and set the corresponding parameters in the property's options.
