tl-wdr7500 USB port can share the printer, meet the needs of the LAN host printing, using the topology as follows:
This article instructs you to use a shared print operation on a computer on a Windows system.
Computers that need to use the Print service must do the following (otherwise they cannot print):
"1" Download and install the Print server control program.
"2" ensures that the printer driver is installed on the computer.
"3" connects the printer to the USB port on the router and starts the boot up.
First step, enable the printer server feature
Log on to the router management interface, in the network share >> print server, verify that the print server status is online, as shown below:
Step two, install the Print server control program
1. Decompression control procedure
Unzip the downloaded Print server program, double-click the program installation icon (Setup.exe), as shown in the following illustration:
2. Start Installation
Eject the installation interface as shown in the following figure and start installing the Printer server control program as shown in the following illustration:
3, follow the Setup wizard installation
Follow the Setup wizard and click Next, as shown below:
4, set up user information
Enter user information, such as name and unit (recommended based on actual input), as shown in the following figure:
5. Select Installation path
Select the Software installation path and click Next, as shown in the following illustration:
The software will be installed to the selected path, click Install, as shown in the following figure.
6. Installation Complete
Software running installation, registration, as follows:
After the run is complete, the software installation is complete:
After installation, the USB Printer controller icon will appear on the computer desktop, as shown in the following figure.
Step three, find the printer
Double-click the desktop USB Printer Controller icon to open the Tp-link Print server control program. Software will be automatically recognized after the opening, if the display has a dual-frequency router model and USB port of the printer, this time you can print normally. The following figure:
Note: The software must remain open, otherwise it will not print.
Step fourth, try to print
At this point, the dual-frequency router's print server function is set up, the computer installed in the LAN Tp-link Print server control program can achieve shared printing.
When printing a file, choose the model of the printer that the router USB interface is connected to, no different from normal printing, as shown in the following illustration:
