Transport Layer Flow control method

Data caching, window mechanisms and conflict avoidance.

The difference between a switch and a router

1) The switch works at the data link layer, the router works on the network layer;

2) The switch uses the physical address to determine the destination address of the forwarded data, while the router uses the IP address to determine the address of the data forwarding;

3) The network segment connected by the switch still belongs to the same broadcast domain, and the network segment connected to the router is assigned to a different broadcast domain;

4) The switch is responsible for the communication of the same network segment, the router is responsible for the communication of different network segments.
