Forcibly access Shared Folders

When accessing shared files, I believe most people will find the shared folder on the target computer through the network neighbor window, and double-click the folder icon to access the target shared file. However, in the actual access process, sometimes, when a shared folder is double-clicked, an inaccessible prompt is displayed. When this prompt occurs, the average person thinks that the user has insufficient access permissions, therefore, they often re-access the shared folder with the account with the system administrator permission, but the fact is that the shared folder still cannot be opened normally. In the event of such access, we may wish to take the following steps to forcibly gain access to shared folders:

First, double-click the "my computer" icon on the desktop of the computer where the shared folder is located. In the pop-up window on my computer, click "Tools" in the menu bar, run the "Folder Options" command from the drop-down menu that appears to go to the System Folder Options dialog box;

Click the "View" tab in the dialog box, and check whether the "use simple file sharing" project is selected in the "Advanced Settings" list box on the tab page, if you find that this option has been selected, you must promptly cancel the selected status and click OK to return;

Find the target shared folder that cannot be normally accessed, right-click it, and execute the "properties" command from the shortcut menu to open the attribute setting window of the shared folder, click the "Security" tab in the window, and click the "advanced" button on the corresponding tab page to go to the Advanced Security Settings interface of the target folder;

Click the "owner" tab on the settings page with the mouse to go To the tag settings page shown in 1. In the "change owner to" list box, select the name of the currently accessed account, in addition, select the "Replace sub-container and object owner" project under the settings page, and click "OK". Then the system will prompt that we do not have permission to access this folder, whether to enable "Full Control" to replace the current access permission. You can click "yes, in this way, when we access the shared folder again in the future, we will not be prompted to access the shared folder.

Cancel network restrictions on Shared Files

Under normal circumstances, users in the LAN generally access the shared resources in other computers through the guest group user accounts, however, many computer systems restrict the network access permissions of shared files by default, especially the access permissions of user accounts in the guest group, in this way, we will encounter the failure of unauthorized access to shared files. To ensure that the user accounts in the guest group can easily access Shared Resources in the LAN, we may remove the network restrictions on shared files in the computer system. The specific cancellation steps are as follows:

First, log on to the computer system where the shared file is located as the system administrator, and click "start" and "run" commands one by one with the mouse, in the system run box that appears later, enter the string command "gpedit. MSC, click the Enter key to enter the Group Policy Edit window for the corresponding computer system;

Reject shared traces automatically recorded

After accessing the target shared file through the network neighbor window, we found that the windows system will automatically remember and save the previous shared access traces. When other people open the network neighbor window in the future, we can find that we shared access privacy last time. It is obvious that this "unauthorized claim" of Windows systems can easily sell our privacy information. To protect your shared access privacy, we recommend that you reject shared access traces automatically by using the following methods:

Click the "Start"/"run" menu commands on the system desktop, enter the Registry Editing Command "Regedit" in the displayed system run text box, and click the Enter key, open the system registry editing window. In the displayed area on the left of the editing window, expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry branch with the mouse, and select the Registry subitem"

Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Network/LANMAN, in the right pane of the LanMan subitem, each key value we see corresponds to a previous shared access record. At this time, we can select and delete each key value in sequence, in this way, all the shared access traces in the network neighbor window can be cleared.

Of course, if we continue to access the shared folder next time, the shared access trace will still be automatically remembered by the Windows system. To avoid future automatic recording, you can click the "Start"/"run" menu commands and enter the string command "gpedit. MSC, click the Enter key to open the system group policy editing window;

In the left-side pane of the editing window, move the cursor to the "user configuration" branch and select the "management template" and "desktop" folders under the branch, in the displayed window on the right of the Desktop Folder, find the policy option "do not add sharing of recently opened documents to network neighbors", and double-click the option with the mouse, the policy attribute setting window shown in 3 is displayed;

In this setting window, it is not difficult to find that Windows has disabled this policy by default. Therefore, we must select "enabled" in this window ", click the "OK" button, so that the system will not automatically remember the traces of shared access, so that our shared access privacy will not be easily leaked.

Manage shared files as needed

When creating shared folders or modifying the properties of shared folders, I believe many people will first open the system resource manager window, and then expand the hierarchical Directory window in sequence, before you can create or modify shared folders or even manage them. Obviously, if you manage shared files or shared folders in this way, the workload is huge. In fact, as long as we select an appropriate shared file management method, the efficiency of managing shared files will be greatly improved. Now, this article introduces how to efficiently manage shared files from the shared Directory Manager that comes with the workstation system:

First, click the "Start"/"run" command, and enter the string "X:/Windows/system32/rundll32.exe ntlanui" from the system running box that appears. DLL, sharemanage (where "X" is the disk partition symbol of the Windows system), for example, when the Windows System of the Local Computer is installed in disk C partition, then we must replace "X" with "C". After confirming that the above information is entered correctly, click "OK, go to the shared Directory Manager page, as shown in figure 4;

Here we can clearly see which shared folders and shared files are contained in the local computer, and can manage shared folders as needed here. For example, if you want to cancel the sharing status of an existing shared folder, you only need to select the specified shared folder from the List window in figure 4, and then click "stop sharing, in this way, the sharing status of the shared folder is canceled, instead of entering the attribute setting window of the shared folder as before, so that the shared status can be quickly canceled. If you want to set a folder to the shared state, you do not need to open the window where the folder is located. You only need to click the "Create share" button in Figure 4, in the displayed window, enter the path information of the target folder, set the shared name of the folder, and click OK. In addition, we can modify and manage the access permissions and other attributes of shared folders.
