Tutorial: How to Manually install Xamarin with Xamarin for VisualStudio

Note: The following steps require you to step-by-step, make sure that each step is installed successfully to use the Xamarin correctly. It's all about the official Xamarin and Android, please feel free to use it. It is strongly recommended to use Thunder download, it is best to open a member.

System Requirements:

• C drive has at least 30G free space
• Visual Studio 2013, but recommended for Visual Studio 2015 (minimal installation, no need to install optional components such as the WIN10 SDK)

32-bit JDK

The JDK has nothing to say, do not pretend not ah. After downloading, double-click Start, follow the wizard to install.

Android SDK Tools

Android SDK Download after installation, find the SDK Manager in the Start menu, Open with Administrator privileges (important)

Select the following items and download:

• Android SDK Tools (this will prompt you for a new version, so you may not choose this one)
• Android SDK Platform-tools
• Android SDK Build-tools
• Android 5.0.1 (API 21)
• Android 4.4.2 (API 19)
• Android 4.0.3 (API 15)

(Note: The Xamarin documentation explains that you have to install API 15+19+21, which is actually the version you are developing for, and which version you can load.) But choose at least one, preferably API 21 or above, otherwise may not be able to compile the app properly)

Other can look at the mood, but not necessarily installed:

• Other versions of the SDK, such as the Google USB Driver in API 23,extras, Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator, and so on.
• If you want to run the Android SDK with its own simulator (Google products) instead of visual Studio Android Emulator (Microsoft produced, requires Hyperv), then it is recommended to install the Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator.
• Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator is not installed automatically after downloading, you need to browse to the ANDORIDSDK directory to find a file called Intelhaxm-android.exe manually double-click the installation. The full path is probably the following:
  C:\Program Files (x86) \android\android-sdk\extras\intel\hardware_accelerated_execution_manager\ Intelhaxm-android.exe

Android NDK

The NDK is in the form of a compressed package and there are no installation files.

After downloading, unzip the NDK to the Android SDK, such as C:\Program files (x86) \android\ndk_r10e,xamarin can find it by yourself

Xamarin for VisualStudio

In VS, the direct use of Xamarin, this thing is a charge before, now free, Microsoft Dafa Good, loaded installed. After downloading, double-click Start, follow the wizard to install.

This package includes a series of platform SDKs from Xamarin, even if you do not use vs development Xamarin to install this package.

Xamarin Studio

A standalone C # IDE. After downloading, double-click Start, follow the wizard to install.
