This article mainly introduces the wireless route installation settings, and provides the connection settings with the upper-level device and the connection settings with the PC. I believe this article will help you.
Complete tutorial on wireless router installation and Setup
Many cainiao often ask how to use the wireless router installation settings, how to connect to the network, and how to connect to the network. I often post my own tutorials to them. Now I will repeat the previous tutorials and try again. Take a desktop computer for Wired connection and a laptop for wireless connection as an example.
Required equipment: One wireless router and two Rj45 dual-head Network cables (normally, as long as the Internet is not connected for the first time, the user already has one, and the package of the wireless router will be followed by one box ), if a laptop does not have a wireless network card, you need to add a built-in or external wireless network card. The built-in requirements require users to have certain hands-on dismounting capabilities. The external interface can be a USB interface or a PCMCIA Interface.
Part 1 physical connection
1. connection between a wireless router and a superior device:
1. When the upper-level device is an ADSL digital cat, the output port of the ADSL modem is connected to the WAN port of the wireless router with an Rj45 dual-head network cable.
2. The original network is connected by residential broadband or twisted pair wires. There are two cases: a is a standard case and there is a network cable terminal box on the wall, connect the jack on the box to the WAN port of the wireless router with an Rj45 dual-head network cable. The technician of the B network company pulls the twisted pair into your home without connecting the terminals on the wall, only one Rj45 crystal head is pressed on the online head. In this case, just insert the Rj45 header into the WAN port of the wireless router.
2. Wired connection between the wireless router and the desktop:
The Rj45 dual-head network cable is still used. One end is connected to either of the four LAN ports where the wireless router is installed and the other end is connected to the PCI wired network card behind the desktop.
3. Wireless Router installation settings and laptop (desktop) wireless connection:
First, install the driver of the wireless network card of the current (or desktop) so that the system can identify and display the wireless network card. Note that the wireless network card must be switched on, set the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the "properties" of the wireless network adapter to "automatically obtain IP addresses" and "automatically obtain DNS server addresses ". Double-click the red-cross laptop icon in the taskbar in the lower-right corner of the desktop to enter the "wireless network connection status" window. Click "view wireless network" below to enter the next "wireless network connection" window, click the "Refresh Network List" button in the upper left corner to search for your wireless route signal, after receiving the signal, click it and click "Connect.
Part 2 network connection and other vro settings:
On any computer that completed the first connection, open IE, enter the default address of the wireless router in the address bar, and press enter to go to wireless route management (the default address is generally 192.168.1.1, find the management address for the installation and configuration of each brand of wireless routers in the Manual ).
1. In the ADSL dialing method, select "use PPPoE client function" in "WAN Settings", and enter the user name and password left by your network supplier in "User Name" and "password, select automatic dialing, and click OK and save. This is a one-time operation. After the wireless router is started, it will automatically dial up for access.
2. for residential broadband that does not require dial-up and authentication, select "automatically obtain IP address from DHCP server" in "WAN Settings;
3. If the network supplier specifies a fixed IP address for you, select to manually set the IP address in "WAN Settings;
4. DHCP must be enabled in LAN Settings for your wireless router to automatically assign IP addresses to your desktops and laptops, your desktop and local "automatically get IP Address" and "automatically get DNS server address" depend on this pair.
5. If you do not want your neighbors to connect to the wireless router installation settings, share the wireless network with you, and squeeze your bandwidth, you should add a password in "Wireless Security Settings, enter the same password when connecting your own desktop and laptop. You can only verify the password once.
6. If you do not want to set a password, you can also use the Mac address filtering method to enable this restriction in the "Mac access restriction" set in the wireless router installation, then, log on to the Mac address list of your desktop and laptop wireless network card, and your devices can be connected smoothly, other people's unregistered devices cannot connect to your wireless network.
