Two methods of drawing thread in SolidWorks

SolidWorks the two methods of drawing threads. This experience is to share an article on how to draw threads with SolidWorks.

Method One:

1, first of all, you have to make sure that you have turned on the decorative thread line function. Tools in the menu bar--Options, select the document properties (the second above), select the detail, and then tick the red circle in the diagram, click OK.

2, the last insert in the menu bar--note--Decorative thread line, in the dialog box to select M30 size of the thread, that is, the completion of decorative external thread operation.

Method Two:

1, double-click or right to open the solidworks2012 software, the other version of the SolidWorks can use this method, create a new part file, click OK.

2, we first draw a cylinder: Select Stretch convex command, and then draw a diameter of 30mm circle, stretching, stretching height can be set to 60mm, click Tick.

3, click the Curve--spiral command, or search through the search spiral, the upper surface of the cylinder to draw a circle of 30 radius, draw the complete can exit the sketch, and then enter the relevant parameters, such as height, pitch, circle number, you can complete the creation of the spiral.

4. Draw a triangular or isosceles trapezoid at the beginning or end of the helix, which is the shape of the thread. Draw complete Exit sketch, then click Scan to cut, contour is triangle, path is helix.
