Two tricks to easily retrieve the forgotten WINXP administrator password

Many "informal" friends often change the Windows XP account password yesterday when using their computers. Today, they forget the content and lock themselves out of the door. In this regard, most of our friends can only try to reinstall the system. In fact, if you have the following conditions, you can easily regain control of the system.
I. Guest Account "customer-oriented"

As we all know, the Guest account has no permission to create an administrator account by default. However, there is such a method that makes it the "boss", and in a few simple steps, it gets the highest permissions of the system. The general principle is also very simple. Because Windows XP automatically runs a series of scripts before logon, we can create a script for creating an administrator account using the Group Policy under the Guest account, give priority to the system.

Step 1: Open notepad and enter the following command:

Net user netfriends 123456/Add
Net localgroup administrators netfriends/Add

Command explanation: Here netfriends is the name of the system administrator account we want to create. 123456 is the password and is saved as a batch file, such as "netfriends. Bat ".

Step 2: Run gpedit in the "run" column. run the MSC command to open the Group Policy, expand "Computer Configuration"> "script (start/stop)" under "Windows Settings", and double-click "start" in the window on the right, in the "Start" attribute dialog box that appears, click "add". In the displayed dialog box, click "Browse" to find and open the saved "netfriends. bat "batch processing files. Click "OK" to return to the "Start" attribute dialog box (1). Click "OK" to close the Group Policy window.

Step 3: After the system is restarted, Windows XP automatically creates a system administrator account named netfriends. The above methods have been tested in Windows 2000 Service, Windows XP SP1, and SP2. If you forget your password, try again.

Note that if the system disk format is NTFS, the Guest account cannot modify the corresponding options in the Group Policy. 2. tool software "Reset Password"

Although the above method is simple, many friends may have disabled the Guest account for security reasons. At this time, they can only retrieve the Administrator account from another way. Windows key can reset the password of an account in the system, that is, you can use an empty password to log on to the system and get the system's "key" in disguise ".

Step 1: download the software from http://www.lostpassword.com/demos/winkeyd.exeand install and run the software on its laptop. Windows key provides three modes: creating a recovery floppy disk, restoring a CD, and guiding a flash drive. Because the drive is now a "rare item", you can use a USB flash drive to operate it.

In the main window of the software, click the "USB flash drive" button to insert the prepared blank USB flash drive, and then add the Windows XP installation disc to the optical drive (the txtsetup is required. sif file), and then click "Next" to start making a USB flash drive. After the installation is complete, the Windows key will add the files required to start the system in the USB flash drive and the files required for password repair.

Step 2: After the USB flash drive is enabled in the bios, use the USB flash drive to boot the system. The system will automatically load the Windows key driver. Wait a moment and the system will automatically enter the Windows key work environment. Then, select the sequence number of the partition where the system is located to reset the password. All account names in the system will be listed. Enter the serial number of the account name to reset the password. The "set password to '123456 '? (Y/n) "prompt (2 ). Enter "Y" as prompted. Soon the password of the Account will be reset to 12345.

Now restart the system and enter the Reset Password to log on. You will find that the control of the system is in your own hands.
