D630, interl gm965 motherboard comes with a video card, once in 7.04, this video card makes us particularly uncomfortable, because there is no driver, and we want to display dual screen.
The day before yesterday, my 7.04 system finally collapsed, inode went wrong, and the new file could not be created. I checked it with fsck, and the result was no longer available, so I had to reinstall it.
Everything went fine, but I needed a dual-Screen Display (notebook and 22-Screen Display). First, check whether the driver is installed. The driver is xserver-Xorg-video-Intel and is automatically installed, change/etc/X11/Xorg. CONF file, as shown below, add four lines under screen.
-
- Section"Screen"
-
- Identifier"Default screen"
-
- Monitor"Configured monitor"
-
- Device"Configured video device"
- Subsection"Display"
-
- Modes"1440x900"
-
- Virtual 3120 1050
-
- Endsubsection
-
- Endsection
Then execute the following command, which is the case in 7.04.
Xrandroid -- output VGA -- right-of LVDS
I found that the screen was incorrect. I missing a piece on the right and changed it (as shown below). Finally, right? Is this the difference between 8.10 and 7.04 ???
Xrandroid -- output LVDS -- left-of VGA
