Wubi Installation

Download the cd iso file, check the verification code, and load it with a virtual optical drive. Select windows for installation.

 

Modify the system software source list
Open the terminal and enter
Sudo CP/etc/APT/sources. LIST/etc/APT/sources. list_backup
Sudo gedit/etc/APT/sources. List
Clear the content in the Open Text Editor and add the software source (search online, just a few times)
And Ubuntu-CN Source
Close the editor and update the package list on the terminal. This takes some time. The command is as follows:
Sudo apt-Get update
Next, install system updates: Open "System -- System Management -- Update manager, and install updates.
If you are prompted to restart, restart the system:

Set Chinese Environment
System --> System Management --> language support: Select "Chinese" in the "Supported languages" list, select Chinese as the default language, and select "enable support to enter complexcharacters" OK, install, install, and log out. Log On again and you will find that the Chinese environment is ready.

Chinese Input Method
After the above operations, you can see Chinese in System --> preference --> scim Input Method settings --> Input Method engine --> global settings and activate Simplified Chinese. It provides input methods such as intelligent pinyin, five strokes, natural code, and two strokes.

 

Simple installation of window Fonts

1. Find the desired font in the window partition (downloadable from a single system)

2. Create a folder/usr/share/fonts/Vista/

Sudo mkdir/usr/share/fonts/Vista/
3. Copy the font to this folder.

4. Run the following command:

Sudo mkfontscale
Sudo mkfontdir
Sudo FC-Cache-FV

5. Right-click the desktop and choose change desktop background font.

6. Set Firefox in the options.

 

Root User

By default, UBUNTU prohibits root users.
You can use the sudo command to switch to the Super User.
Enter:
Sudo-s-h
Enter the password of the user currently logged in to obtain the operation permissions of the Super User.

 

Sound Card ad1984a no sound

Solution:
Enter:
Sudo gedit/etc/modprobe. d/alsa-base.conf
Add the last line:
Options snd-hda-Intel model = laptop
After saving, restart the Ubuntu system and solve the problem.

 

Automatically install the font

Supports automatic installation of fonts such as, Monaco-Linux, and lucida-console on ubuntu8.10 and ubuntu9.04 systems.
In addition, you can set the rendering Effects of Two Different monitors, led and CRT, without manual configuration, to achieve automatic installation.
The usage is as follows:
Open the Command Controller, and then run the following script (which can be achieved by pasting and copying ):

Wget-O get-fonts.sh.zip http://files.cnblogs.com/DengYangjun/get-fonts.sh.zip
Unzip-O get-fonts.sh.zip 1>/dev/null
Chmod A + x get-fonts.sh
/Get-fonts.sh

Delete the downloaded font installation script file:

Rm get-fonts.sh get-fonts.sh.zip 2>/dev/null

Restore the previous font settings:

CD/etc/fonts/CONF. avail
Sudo MV 51-local.conf.old 51-local.conf 2>/dev/null
Sudo MV 69-language-selector-zh-cn.conf.old 69-language-selector-zh-cn.conf 2>/dev/null
Sudo Rm-F-r/usr/share/fonts/TrueType/myfonts 2>/dev/null

#1. added the latest font for Windows 7. (Attachment size limit, not implemented)

Firefox Configuration

Accelerate DNS resolution

Enter: About: config in the address bar.

Ignore warning

In the filter at the top of the page, enter: Network. DNS. disableipv6

The page is automatically refreshed. Double-click "network. DNS. disableipv6" and the line will be bold.

Restart Firefox

Note: Do not do this for friends who often use IPv6.

 

Java environment configuration and related

Open the terminal, run the following command, or use adept/new software manager, where search for "sun-java6-jre" and "sun-java6-jdk" and tag the installation.

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre

If the space is rich, we recommend that you install a JDK.

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk

Tip: During the installation process, you need to answer whether you agree to use the Protocol (the red-blue prompt page in the terminal). Press the tab key to OK, and press enter to install it normally.

Set the current default Java interpreter:

sudo update-alternatives --config java

Configure Java environment variables:

sudo gedit /etc/environment

Add the following two lines:

CLASSPATH=.:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/lib
JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun

sudo gedit /etc/jvm

Convert

/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun

Enter this line at the top of the configuration block.

Install the browser's Java Plugin (optional ):

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin
