1. View the computer graphics model
Command:lspci | grep VGA
You can see the corresponding two video card models
2. Download the corresponding graphics driver from the video card website
Because this video card is ATI graphics card, installed system is 32-bit Ubuntu, to the ATI official website to download the corresponding graphics driver.
3. Install the driver
You can see the download is a ZIP package, using the Upzip command to extract it:unzip Amd-driver-installer-catalyst-13.1-legacy-linux-x86.x86_64.zip
Get a. run file with the same name, modify the permissions so that it can run:chmod +x amd-driver-installer-catalyst-13.1-legacy-linux-x86.x86_64.run
Run the executable file under SU permissions:sudo./amd-driver-installer-catalyst-13.1-legacy-linux-x86.x86_64.run
4. Check the driver installation status
First you have to install Mesa-utils, enter the command in the terminal:
sudo apt-get install mesa-utils
And then run the command:
Glxinfo | grep rendering
If the result is "yes", it proves that the video driver has been successfully installed.
