To view my Ubuntu version:

Input Cat/etc/issue

Ubuntu 14.04.1

In graphical mode, first enter the terminal:
1. Run sudo vi/etc/default/grub
2. Find grub_cmdline_linux_default= "quiet splash"
3. Change to grub_cmdline_linux_default= "quiet splash Text"
4. Run sudo update-grub
5.reboot
(The Ps:quiet representative does not show the detailed boot process; Splash represents the progress bar)

Command line mode needs to return to the graphical mode, enter the command: STARTX
In turn, the graphical mode returns the command-line mode, pressing CTRL+ALT+F1 at the terminal
