After the installation of Ubuntu, found that the GUI connection of the graphical interface no matter how, depressed for several days, think about moving 120 hours a month of traffic is not wasted. Just when I wanted to return to the Windows system, I found a good way to manually set up a DSL, thanks to the author of the Notes of frozen kernels (I think it is called frozen benevolence bar), the following is the detailed method.
0x00: Install pppoeconf
sudo Install pppoeconf
0x01: Start Manual Setup
sudo pppoeconf
After opening, see the following interface:
1. Detect all network cards
2. Common Options Modification
3. Enter the DSL user name
4. Enter the DSL password
5. Configure DNS: Use DNS provided by your ISP
6. Do you use DSL networking at startup? (My choice is to manually connect, want to God code when connected to God Code time connection)
7. Start the DSL connection now?
8. You can use the "plog" command to view the status
9. Connection Success Information: Plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded
0X02: Basic operation
1. Manual connection:
Pon Dsl-provider
2. Manual disconnection:
Poff Dsl-provider
3. View Status:
Plog
