Ubuntu16.04:nvidia driver Installation

1. Remove previously installed Nvidia driver, run:

sudo apt-get purge nvidia-*

2. Add third party driver source, run

sudo add-apt-repository Ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa

3. Update the SOFTWARE Source:

sudo apt-get update

4. Installation:

sudo apt-get install nvidia-375
sudo apt-get update 
sudo apt-get upgrade

The following error may also be reported:

Nvidia-smi has failed because it couldn ' t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure this latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

This time, you can restart, I also reboot after all normal, specific reasons do not know.
