An error occurred while debugging the Silverlight project today:
First: unable to start debugging. The Silverlight developer Runtime is not installed. Please install a matching version.
Then, the following message is reported:
Unable to start debugging. The application uses a version of Silverlight that is not supported by the debugger.
Download the following runtime to solve the problem:
Silverlight 3 developer Runtime (http://go2.microsoft.com/fwlink? Linkid = 150228 ),
Or Silverlight 4 developer Runtime

If it cannot be installed, uninstall Silverlight first and then try:

To uninstall Silverlight, follow these steps:
Start the Registry COLLECTOR:
In Windows Vista, click Start, type Regedit in the Start search box, and then press Enter.
In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type Regedit in the open box, and then click OK ".
Find and click to select the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/Microsoft/Silverlight
Select this option, select "delete" from the "edit" menu, and click "yes" when you see the confirmation prompt ".
In the File menu, click exit to exit the Registry Editor.
