Is it true that a lot of friends are not able to start the host network connected to the system the device does not play a role in the error hint? If yes, you can refer to this article for the solution.
This problem usually occurs when we want to share a wireless network, for example, by following these three commands:
(1) Netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow
(2) Netsh wlan set hostednetwork ssid=open key=1234567890
(3) Netsh wlan start hostednetwork
Maybe the first two are OK, everything is OK. But when you get to the third article, you'll be prompted:
"Unable to start the hosted network, the status of the group or resource is not the correct state to perform the request operation"-
After looking at the information on the Internet, I concluded that it was due to a lack of new driver issues.
The wireless card for my notebook is Intel AGN 5100.
To view the network card model, right-click on the "Computer" (XP and previous version is "My Computer") then choose Manage, open the Computer Management tool, select Device Manager, and then select Network adapter, which will display your network card and wireless card. One of the WiFi is the wireless card.
As shown in the picture, click on the big Picture: (Please ignore the virtual Wifi, which will be discussed later)
Right-click on the wireless card, select Properties, and then select driver details to see the current version of the driver.
As shown in the following illustration:
In the second illustration, select Netw5s32.sys, and the file version shown below is the version of the driver.
So what is the Vwifibus.sys in the first picture?
In fact, this is a virtual WiFi driver, only the installation of this driver, the hosting network can be opened. If your driver version is not new, this driver will not be shown here.
When a new driver is installed, the virtual WiFi device shown in the first image is also displayed in the network adapter, and it also appears in the Network and Sharing Center.
