1 Using SAP Universe design tool to connect Sybase database error, error is as follows:
"Cs:java Class not found in Classpath:com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver"
Or the error is as follows:
"Cs:java Class not found in Classpath:com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybDriver"
2 My environment is as follows:
Operating system: Win7, installed: SAP businessobjects BI Platform 4
Database is: Sybase SQL Anywhere 16
The JDBC driver used is: Jconn3.jar
Purpose: I use the SAP Universe Designer tool to connect bppm default Sybase database for report design using JDBC (Sybase IQ 15)
3 Solution:
3.1 Find the JDBC driver jar package, you can use my usual, Baidu address is as follows:
3.2 Copy the drive Jar package to the SAP Drive storage path:
The SAP jar package path is as follows: <intallation Dir of Bo>\sap businessobjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataaccess\con necti onserver\drivers\ Java\<jar file>
3.3 Modify Sybase.sbo File
The Sybase.sbo file path is as follows: <installation dir of bo>\sapbusinessobjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataaccess\connectionserver\ Jdbc\sybase.sbo
After Sybase IQ 15, add the following (note change the installation path and the last Jar package name):
< ClassPath > < Path > < directory for BO>\sap businessobjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataaccess\connectionserver\ Drivers\java\<file></Path> </ClassPath>
The examples I've added are as follows (for reference):
<DataBaseActive= "Yes"Name= "Sybase IQ"> <ClassPath> <Path>D:\Program files\sapbusinessobjects\sap businessobjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataaccess\connectionserver\drivers\java\ Jconn3.jar</Path> </ClassPath> <Jdbcdriver> <!--uncomment and edit the following lines to define Java classes required by JDBC driver
..............................................................................
After saving, the test is available
