I have never thought of using a very smooth network speed with China Telecom and China Unicom, but suddenly fell a lot. I started to study it without any concerns, I also found that many people feel unstable or even slow when using Great Wall broadband. According to my research, it is actually caused by the incorrect setting of the parameter "MTU.

The results show that the effect is obvious. This shows that if you use Great Wall broadband, if the default MTU value of the operating system is not modified, the network packet loss rate will be high, which will reduce the network speed; otherwise, the network speed will reach the optimal value. However, the default MTU value for the two ISP providers of China Telecom and China Unicom is exactly the default value for the Windows system, that is, 1492. Therefore, when using the two broadband, even if you do not change the default MTU of the OS, the network speed can be the most efficient.
