Q:Ie5 cannot be upgraded to IE6 in Windows
I want to upgrade ie5.0 to 6.0. I have downloaded ie6.0. During installation, it is displayed that "the previous installation has not been completed and needs to be restarted. We recommend that you run and installProgramPreviously, restart the computer. ." This prompt makes installation impossible. The same prompt is displayed after the restart. What should I do?
A:
Download the full ie installation package to the Local Computer
1. First of all, you must download the ie6sp1 Installation File (ie6setup.exe) from Microsoft ).
2. Save the downloaded ie6setup.exe to a temporary folder. (E:/IE6 /)
3. Type
"E:/IE6/ie6setup.exe"/C: "ie6wzd.exe/D/S:" "# E"
Then press Enter.
4. The Microsoft authorization box is displayed, and you can download ie6sp1 of different versions of Windows to any folder. (E:/IE6 /)
5. Restart,Security ModeRun ie6setup.exe in the new download folder. OK!
The above method has passed the test by using the Installation File of ie6.0 SP1 in Win2000.
