US domain total dropped below 80 million: March net minus 638,000 spin-off speed up

IDC Review Network (idcps.com) April 07: According to the latest data released by Webhosting.info, as of March 30, 2015, the total number of U.S. domain names dropped below 80 million to 79,829,309. During March (2015-03-03 to 2015-03-30), the speed of spin-down was accelerated, with a total decrease of 638,320.

Looking at Figure 2, in March, the total number of U.S. domain names declined, from 80,467,629 to 79,829,309.
