Download lmon. C and makefile

Compilation requires installation: APT-Get install libncurses5-dev

64-bit Ubuntu: Make nmon_x86_64_ubuntu810 (For details, refer to the vim MAKEFILE file)

Ii. Instructions on using nmon

1.Grant executable permissions to files

Chmod + x nmon file (file to be executed)

2.Run the nmon command.-F indicates the generation of the detection file. The-s detection time is measured in seconds and the number of-C monitoring times. For more information, see nmon-H. However, as an example, you can try to run the following nmon command to capture data snapshots at an interval of 30 seconds within one hour:

Nmon_x86_64_ubuntu810-F-S 30-C 120

Note: nmon-FT-S 30-C 120 and the-T command can also capture the processes that consume the most resources. The command will create an output file in the current directory. Its name is:

<Hostname> _ date_time.nmon

Iii. Usage of chart analysis tools

1. Transmit data generated by nmon to a Windows server.

2. manually execute nmon_analyser excel.

3. Click the anatyse nmon data icon and select the data file generated by nmon to be analyzed. The following are buttons (note that macros are allowed ).
