In the communication field, no one knows Cisco or Huawei. As giants in the communication industry, how do they take actions in this field? In any case, the Unified Communication System Service is what we really need. Now let's take a look at the services of the Unified Communication System through the feelings of Huawei employees.

The 2010 NexCom next-generation network communication exhibition and CECC China Enterprise Communication Conference and CWCC China Wireless Communication Conference were held at the Beijing National Convention Center on April 27-29. Thousands of spectators from finance, insurance, logistics, transportation, coal, manufacturing, medical, and other industries attended the event. Many well-known manufacturers at Home and Abroad presented their latest products and solutions on the platform of "two sessions and one Exhibition", attracting the attention of many online and offline audiences. Huawei, a well-known international manufacturer, presented its latest solutions (products) at the exhibition and delivered a speech entitled "Huawei Unified Communication solution-from adoption to effective use ".

Huawei, Which is galloping in the core network market, has also gained strong popularity in the enterprise network market, especially in the Unified Communication Market favored by major giants. The following is Yan from the Huawei industry software business department. She will show us the new "vision" of communication brought about by Huawei's Unified Communication System Service, "from adoption to effective use ".

Yan, Huawei industry software business department

Yan: My name is Yan. I am from the software marketing department of Huawei. Today I am very happy to share with you some of the latest developments in Huawei. I bring three works that Huawei recommends employees to read internally. The first part is "the great Qin Empire", and the second part is "the dark evening". I remember a series of film launched by Phoenix in, which tells the story of Li Hongzhang in the Late Qing revolution era; the third part is the founder, who talked about the situation of the three-year battle of oil in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. At that time, the oil army overcame many difficulties on the Northeast Plain, it eventually reversed the unfavorable situation of New China's Oil construction.

Why are these three works shared here? I think these three works actually convey a common idea-change. At present, we are talking about the rapid development of the information age, whether from the lowest network hardware access, to the highest level of professional personalized consulting services, whether it is to reduce communication costs, we still need to improve the IT center efficiency of the entire enterprise. Unified Communication, UC, and collaboration have brought us epoch changes in this era.

I remember Microsoft's vice president of UC, who said, "Unified Communication, collaboration, and UC are a fundamental change for the entire information age, similar to a change from e-phone call ." In this revolution, Huawei, as a very important participant in the field of Unified Communication, is how we use it here? I have discussed this topic many times with my colleagues before. What kind of ideas and content should I share with you today? We believe that Huawei, as a very important participant in the Unified Communication Service, should demonstrate to you a large enterprise such as Huawei in terms of Unified Communication system services, what are the actual employees of the company doing? This is what I want to talk about today, from adoption to effective use.

1. Development and informatization of Huawei. UC, collaboration, and Unified Communication are inseparable from the information construction of the entire enterprise.

2. Huawei's overall enterprise informatization strategy, how to implement collaboration and Unified Communication, and how to use it. What methods and tools will our frontline employees use to communicate with customers.

3. As a large enterprise such as Huawei, what experiences does it have in its construction process, or what lessons and experiences can be shared with you.

This article introduces Huawei's entire information system and proposes three stages of development:

In the first stage, the development of enterprise informatization is mainly focused on supporting enterprise operations. Focus on production and production-related capital, sales, and other information.

In the second stage, the focus of informatization construction has shifted from supporting enterprise operations to focusing on internal integration of enterprises. At this time, the focus of Huawei's enterprise informatization is on how to break through various internal process barriers and streamline the upstream-downstream relationship of the entire enterprise.

In the third stage, the focus of enterprise informatization is gradually shifting from internal to external, and the field of view has been extended to external. At this time, the focus of Huawei's enterprise informatization construction is no longer on internal integration of the company, but on the whole industry chain, including the formation of internal and external collaborative integration models.

This is the three phases of Huawei's informatization construction based on the company's overall strategic plan and the actual development of the company, currently, Huawei's informatization construction is evolving from the second stage to the third stage.

Just now, from the perspective of horizontal development, Huawei has divided its informatization development into five layers: The underlying network platform and the basic hardware platform, to the intermediate ICT integration framework and to the upper-layer Unified Communication System services and applications, the entire Huawei company has its own different components and these five informatization layers correspond.

At the bottom layer of the network platform, Huawei has built a global Intranet data network for an enterprise), level 2, data center, huawei currently has its own data centers in Shenzhen, Nanjing, and overseas, and has backup centers. Huawei has also set up internal voice communication systems, including over 6300 different IT application systems and up to 585 OA application systems.

As we can see from the introduction just now, Huawei may be the same as the big companies where all the guests are located. It is a very large enterprise and its features are very simple: 1. The number of employees is large, and now the number of employees has reached 0.1 million. 2. The region is broad. Currently, Huawei has branches not only in China, but also overseas, at present, there are 11 research institutes around the world, with more than 480 office sites. 3. IT application systems are very complex, with 600 OA applications. 4. Internal Communication Between employees, including internal communication between employees and employees, internal and external communication between employees and external customers is very frequent. A large number of people, a wide range of regions, complex IT applications, and frequent internal and external communication should be a lot of problems facing the companies present here.

In fact, these problems have brought four pain points to our frontline employees: insufficient equipment. Our access, communication, and collaboration equipment is inadequate for front-line employees and our offices in various regions. The entire network is connected. We may have some non-office environments and cannot access the company's intranet. We cannot work anywhere at any time, and there are network barriers in some areas. Communication and collaboration methods. Currently, we use a variety of communication methods, including e-mail, telephone, office landline, and our own conference system, we have our own data sharing platform and various IT application databases. There are too many ways of communication and collaboration, and the Collaboration efficiency is relatively low. In addition, the entire IT application is very complicated, these IT applications are deployed on the intranet of Huawei. Once our employees are on a business trip or are not connected to the Intranet environment at home, these IT applications cannot be accessed. In fact, Huawei faces these four pain points on its own. One is inconvenient communication and collaboration, the other is insufficient information sharing, and the application is too complex. In fact, these two pain points are two of the first and most important issues to be considered when you discuss UC, collaboration, and unified communication system services. One is efficiency, and the other is application.

To address these two problems, Huawei combines its actual situation and returns to the five layers of Huawei's informatization we have seen before. Huawei has optimized these five layers by itself. We have optimized and integrated the last three layers of applications, and made a solution package. This solution package is not one of our products, not released to the market, it is only an iTools solution package that Huawei uses internally. The core concept of this solution package is to use Unified Communication, with unified communication system services and UC as the core, for traction, on the one hand, more internal enterprise applications are integrated, and on the other hand, a variety of information flows are gathered. By focusing on the security of the entire access network, our communication is more effective, access is more convenient, and effective information is available. This is our core iTools application philosophy. In terms of application solutions, solution packages have been optimized in terms of terminal configuration, secure access, communication and collaboration, and IT applications.
