Use a removable hard disk to quickly install Win7

On the mobile hard drive to get a 5G or so partition, dedicated to guide the installation of Win7, very fast and convenient.

Preparatory work

A removable hard drive

A win7 ISO image file

Decompression tool (RAR or ZIP, etc.)

Current system (Windows)

Step 1th: Create a partition

Enter the current system, insert the mobile hard drive, right-click Computer, select Manage, double-click Save, and then double-click Disk Management (local).

It is recommended to repartition the removable hard disk, specifically to get a 5G size partition to store the mirrored decompression file and to boot the installation win7. Then, delete all the partitions on the mobile hard disk (delete the volume), then create a 5G size partition (choose NTFS format, the rest of the space is random, how to complete the whole), and right the partition, select "Mark this partition as active partition." As a result, the 5G partition becomes the active primary partition, so the "mark this partition as active partition" option in the picture appears dimmed (not optional) because I am already set up as the active partition.

Step 2nd: Fix the mirrored file

You can use tools such as WinRAR to copy files from the ISO image of Windows 7 to the active partition of the aforementioned mobile hard disk, and it is best not to save other files in the root directory.

Step 3rd: Activate as boot partition

The active partition of my mobile hard disk is a G disk. So, click on the taskbar "Start Menu", click "Run", enter "CMD" after the return, in the DOS window enter the following statements, you can activate the active partition as a boot partition:

G:

CD Boot

Bootsect.exe/nt60 g:

Bootsect.exe/nt60 g:/mbr

Bootsect.exe/nt60 g:/force

Step 4th: Reboot and set the BIOS

Finally, reboot the computer, press F12 to select the boot location, select USD-HDD, and then enter the familiar win7 system installation interface. Of course, some machines are pressed F2, ESC or other buttons, some machines need to enter the BIOS to set up, different computers, BIOS settings vary, the need to choose according to the actual situation. If you are not modifying the boot location for this boot, but have modified the global boot, please remember to change the boot when automatically restarting in the installation process, or you will go into the installation boot again. A screenshot of the BIOS settings is attached below for your reference.

This is the 1th type of bios, which is set to "Hard Disk boot Priority" and "first boot Device" after entry.
