Use Birt to create reports containing subreports

1. The previous steps to create a master/sub-dataset are omitted.


Note that you do not need to define report parameters here. You only need to select "paramaters"-> "add ".

2. Drag a list to the center of the report

Drag the fields of the primary dataset to detail.

At the same time, drag the subdataset to detail.

3. Click "preview" to find that the data in the subreport is the same, because the parameters in the subreport are not associated with the main report.

Select a subreport table and choose "Property Editor"> "binding ".

Select dataset parameter binding:

Double-click the default value of the parameter defined in the sub-dataset. The following window is displayed:

 

Click "FX"-> available column bindings category. If no association information is found on the far right,

Click "Edit binding ...." Add the joined Field


4. Click "preview" to find that the data in the subreport is different, indicating that the data has been associated.
