The provincial Education Department sent a group of experts to examine the examination papers of the students, the Group of experts to conduct a survey of the overall, the school class of the whole students randomly selected 25 as a sample. In order to ensure the non human nature of the result, Excel is used to help the expert group to make the results of spot checks.
The sampling analysis tool creates a sample of the data source area as a whole. When the overall size is too large to be processed or drawn, a representative sample can be selected. If you confirm that the data in the data source range is periodic, you can also sample values from a specific time period in a cycle. Random sampling can also be used to meet the representative requirements of users to ensure sampling.
Note: This feature requires Excel extensions, and if your Excel does not have data analysis installed, select Tools-add-ins to load the data analysis library with the support of the installation CD. After successful loading, you can see the data Analysis option in the tool's Drop-down menu.
Operation Steps:
1. Open the original data table, make the original data of this example no special requirements, as long as the row or column to meet the same attribute value. The student number is shown in the example.
2. Select "Tools"-"Data Analysis"-"sampling", the dialog box appears, and then select:
Input area: Put the original overall data in this area, the data type is not limited, numeric or text-type can be;
Sampling method: There are two kinds of interval and random. Interval sampling requires the input cycle interval, the values at the interval point in the input area, and the values at each subsequent interval are copied to the output column. When the end of the input range is reached, the sampling stops. (not used in this example); Random sampling refers to the direct input of the sample number, computer sampling, not subject to the rules of spacing;
