Use FreeBSD ports to easily create a Chinese Desktop System

Abstract: As we all know, building a freebsd desktop environment from scratch is a very tedious process, and sometimes you may lose your mind. Based on this, I created port: Chinese/auto-cn-l10n, can greatly simplify this process. Let's introduce the ports maintained by myself, which should also be within the scope of the topic of this article.

Tip: We recommend that you update ports CVSup synchronously before proceeding to the next step.

Major Ports involved (ports dependent are not listed ):

X11/Xorg
X11/gnome2
X11/kde3
Chinese/kde3-i18n-zh_CN
Chinese/auto-cn-l10n

You can select either gnome or KDE or install only one of them.
These ports need to be installed separately, and there is no major dependency between them (of course, XProgramDependent on Xorg-libraries, but it is impossible to see X if Xorg is not installed)

If the three red ports are compiled locally, it will take a lot of time. You can execute it directly (in fact, this is completely unnecessary unless you have special requirements or want to watch the flashing characters on the screen ):
