I started to get in touch with Linux when I went to college, but just like othersArticleFollow these steps and uninstall the service in two days. I learned a little more about Linux when I was learning the operating system myself. In addition, sometimes some work needs to be done on Linux, So I gradually become more interested in Linux.

Last year, due to the need for GCC for self-development of the operating system, we installed Ubuntu on a virtual machine. The installation was very convenient. After the installation, I felt very good. Later, mongout6.10 was installed. Later, I was expecting to add KVM and 3D desktops to ubuntu7.04. Because I always wanted to completely switch to Linux, but the reality is that I had to use Windows at work. Although Windows XP is quite good now, however, the main reason is that you know more about the system, and various optimization and security measures are in place. Besides, you are still unhappy with the old face. Later, I decided to wait for the release of the last version of the company to buy a small black box and install ubuntu. Hey hey, as for work, I just need to create a virtual Windows 2000 In ubuntu. I tried a Windows 2000 virtual machine a few days ago, and the speed was quite fast. After all, it was something I had done seven years ago and it didn't have high performance requirements. Although the performance of the virtual machine is inferior to that of the real machine, the progress of the hardware is negligible.

Tu7.04 was finally released on July 15, April 19.

I suddenly want to install it on a real machine, no optical drive, no optical drive, and only ISO. What should I do. Suddenly, VMWare can install the system on the hard disk. So we installed it with Vmware today, which is quite smooth. Different from the full virtualization, it means that 20 GB of space is allocated with PQ in windows before installation, a primary partition is created, and a physical disk is selected when a new virtual machine is created, during the installation process, let Ubuntu use the 20 GB space. After the installation, I restarted and came out with a Windows XP interface. What's going on? Later I realized that I chose to use the entire physical disk.

After restarting Ubuntu, the graphic interface failed to come out and a bunch of errors were reported, but they were all in my expectation. The installation is performed on Vmware. The graphics card must be a VMware Virtual graphics card. After the installation is restarted, the real hardware will not match the driver, configuration, and real environment. No way. After/etc/X11/Xorg. conf is deleted, startx enters the graphic interface. However, the resolution is only 800*600, and the refresh frequency is only 60Hz. Then I configured the network and found that it was IPv6. I was dizzy and did not understand it. Log on to Windows again, check the information, and then return to modify the configuration file. /Etc/modprobe. d/aliases, mask alias net-pf-10 IPv6, add alias net-pf-10 off and alias IPv6 off, restart, the network is easy to use. In fact, you can also convert an IPv4 address to an IPv6 address and then configure it directly. However, I am too lazy to calculate it.

It's almost time to get off work. I have to install a video card driver tomorrow.
