In the Web analytics work, we often need to make messy access data collation more intuitive to facilitate analysis team analysis of data. In the last two weeks, my posting has introduced a group of content that uses Google Analytics to analyze this blog post to achieve similar goals.
Our goal is to analyze all stations and subdomains of the same site, such as nextag.com, nextag.net,nextag.co.uk, affiliates.nextag.com, as a single website entity.
How can we achieve this goal?
Step one: In the new configuration file, create an advanced filter that renames all domains and subdomains under the same station cluster as an independent domain entity.
Step two: Repeat step one to set up the filter in the same way for the other domains under the same station group.
If the same site group domain name does not have the same rule attributes, such as CNET Group has cnet.com,zdnet.com,download.com, and other stations have relevant recommended traffic to our site. We can follow the same steps as we do, but we need to create multiple filters to rename all the relevant fields.
Step Three: Apply the filter to the newly created Google profiling profile
In order not to affect the previous data, be sure to create a new Google profiling configuration file. Now we're done! We can clearly see the same station group to our website recommended traffic performance.
Please also pay attention to one of my other related blog posts using Google Analytics to group content into groups . Finally, don't forget to compare the data between the new configuration file and the old one. Determine if the filter is set up correctly!
If we have a better way to achieve group analysis, or to my methods have any comments and suggestions please leave me a message!
