When I access the Internet, there will always be a pop-up window for IE. Even if I close IE, it cannot be eliminated. Originally, this was brought by the flash get (Internet Express) advertising system. The flash get advertising system consists of two parts: the Banner Advertisement in the flash get window and the random pop-up advertisement. Before version 1.6, A FlashGet advertisement software will be installed while flash get is installed. This advertisement software has a self-protection function and cannot be detached independently. After version 1.6, the advertising software was directly integrated into the FlashGet software. When the freeware mode was selected during flash get installation, the advertising software started to work. Once flash get is used to download the software, the advertising system automatically downloads the advertisement content over the Internet and pops up the advertisement window to the user's desktop.
I. Ad shielding principle
If we want to remove these ads, we must first understand the ad blocking principle. That is to say, the security management permission of NTFS is used to protect the folder where advertisements are stored and prohibit any program from accessing the folder. As a result, the new advertisement content cannot be downloaded or saved, in this way, advertisement display is blocked.
Ii. How to shield advertisements
Now let's see how to block this advertisement. Follow these steps:
1. Locate the folder where the flash get advertisement is stored. The location of the folder where the flash get advertisement is stored varies with the flash get version, which is generally the following two locations:
(1) The Adcache sub-folder in the System32 folder of the system folder (C: WindowsSystem32Adcache in Windows XP ).
(2) The Ads Sub-folder under the installation folder of FlashGet (in Windows XP, it is generally C: Program FilesFlashGetAds ). This folder is not created by the installer during software installation, but automatically created when the first advertisement is downloaded.
2. Exit FlashGet and delete all files and subfolders in the ad folder.
3. Right-click the advertising folder and click the "properties" command in the shortcut menu to open the properties setting window for This subfolders. Click the "Security" tab (figure 1) to delete all users in the "Group or user name" or set all permissions of all users to "deny ". Click the "advanced" button to clear the "inherit permission projects that can be applied to sub-objects from the parent item, including those explicitly defined projects here" Multi-selection box (figure 2 ). In the subsequent "security" dialog box, click "delete. After exiting, no one can access this advertisement sub-folder.

Perform the same operations on other advertising folders in turn. In the end, we can shield the flash get advertisement.
This method is only applicable to Windows 2000, Windows XP, and other operating systems. The partition format is NTFS.
Note:
Sometimes the folder attribute in some operating systems does not have a "security" label, which can be solved through the following method (applicable to Windows XP Pro): Execute "Control Panel> Management Tools> Local Security Settings ", expand "Security Settings> Local Policies> Security Options" and go to "network access, sharing of local accounts, and security mode, change the settings to "classic-Local User Authentication" and exit.
