Use of document templates in Document Management

Having participated in the ax project, especially for development, may encounter a problem. Can ax be developed? So the user moved out a lot of documents, Word and Excel, and changed them for me according to these formats! It is absolutely thankless to do this. These formats are definitely not fixed and will be changed in three days. Although ax development is flexible, however, we can only cope with these fancy Word and Excel statements. Word and Excel statements are always more flexible than ax statements.
In document management of ax, you can use pre-defined templates to generate Word and Excel files. In this way, the format is defined by the user through the template, ax is only responsible for writing the data stored in ax to the template through COM based on the user-defined templates to form a file, so that the format modification will be thrown to the customer, if you want to change it, just change it, regardless of ax.
This article takes the sales order as an example to introduce the use of the document template. This article is intended for beginners of ax, so you don't have to read it. In addition, ax4.0sp2 has a bug and this template function is unavailable, ax2009 is OK.
1. Define document types
Basic management-> Settings-> document settings-> Document Type
Create a new document type and select "create Word Document" through COM as the class description, as shown in:

2. Set the correspondence between the ax field and the bookmarks in the template.
Click the Option Button.
Add a record in the overview, select salestable, and select fields to add data tables, fields, and bookmarks. As shown in:

3. Design a sales contract template
The name of the bookmarks to be inserted must be the same as the name of the bookmarks in the above picture. The operation of the bookmarks to be inserted will use word, which will not be described here, as shown in.

4. Select a template
In the template file shown in the second figure, select the template saved in step 3.

5. Use
Accounts receivable-> sales order details

How is it? What else can we do? My aesthetic taste is limited, and I can only make it look so ugly. I can modify it according to everyone's preferences. Data is provided by ax and printed templates are made by users themselves. This is indeed a good idea.
