Customizing how fixed areas are displayed
You can create rows or columns that are fixed to display in Hierarchical FlexGrid. To make it easier for users to read, you should use a fixed area to display a header collection instead of using duplicate column headers in each stripe. The range will be static, identifying the following row or column to the right.
To customize the display of the fixed area of the Hierarchical FlexGrid
1. Click Hierarchical FlexGrid, and then select Properties from the shortcut menu. The Property Pages dialog box for Hierarchical FlexGrid appears.
2. On the General tab, specify the number of rows and columns in the fixed row and fixed column text boxes, and then click Apply.
3. On the Styles tab, select the display style for fixed text from the fixed text style box, and then click Apply.
4. On the Font tab, set the following standard properties:
5. From the Color tab, specify a color for each fixed property. To do this, you first need to select a color setting. Then, click the property you want to change (for example, backcolorfixed), click a color in the palette, and then click Apply. Repeat for each fixed area that needs to be changed.
Note If you use the Windows default color, the color displayed in Hierarchical FlexGrid will be the color specified in the Display Control Panel. In addition to changing the color of the Hierarchicalflexgrid property to a standard or Windows default color, you can create your own color definition (click Edit Custom color to use the Color dialog box that pops up.) For information about each property, see the Hierarchicalflexgrid property topic.
6. Click OK to apply the fixed attribute to hierarchical FlexGrid and close the Property Pages dialog box.

1. Right-click the Hierarchical FlexGrid and choose Properties from the shortcut menu. The Property Pages dialog box for Hierarchical FlexGrid appears.

3. In the column heading and column Name list boxes, specify the columns you want to display. By default, the list contains all the fields of the Recordset and their field names. If you need to stop displaying a Field object, or if you want to change its name, use the column headings list. If you need to cancel a field, click the corresponding selection symbol. If you want to change the name of the field, click the name to select it, and then click it again to enter edit mode for renaming.
4. Click OK to apply the striped attribute to hierarchical FlexGrid and close the Property Pages dialog box.
