PWA User Manual
During project implementation, project server 2010 can be used to assist project managers, employees, and stakeholders in their work exchanges, ensure that the personnel can exchange project information, track the project progress, classify the project cost, project budget, and other work smoothly.
1. Set the user
By default, only the default management users of the system are displayed on the project web app website. You must create, edit, and deactivate the activated users on the PWA website.
1) click Settings-server settings in the navigation bar,
2) Go to security-Manage users to create new users and select corresponding categories and global permissions for users.
2. Connect the local project to the Project Server
In the local project, click File-Info-manage account-configure account and add the account name and pwa url. After saving the file, it will show that the client is not connected to the Project Server. In fact, the client is connected to the server, you only need to close and re-open it.
2.1 Add resources
2.1.1 add new resources to PWA (import local resources to projectserver)
Add resources to the project server so that other projects on the server can use the resources. Execute resources-add resources-introduce resources to the enterprise. In the "Import resource reference wizard" window that appears, click "continue to execute Step 1" and follow the prompts to complete resource import.
2.1.2 introduce Resources in the Project Server (add resources in the Project Server to the current project)
1) You can manually add a Resource Name. However, resources in the project server must match the local project document name. Otherwise, errors may occur. Therefore, the second method is recommended, in the local project, select allocate resources. In the displayed dialog box, select Add resources-from Project Server. The client requests the resources available in the current enterprise from the Project Server.
2) allocate resources in the Project Server
Execute resource-allocate resources, select the resource to be allocated, replace the single-host button, and then select the resource to be replaced.
3. Publish the project to the Project Server
1) Select File-Save As to save the project to project server, but it is not published.
2) if the name of the local resource and enterprise resource user is the same, it means that the resource is not exported from the Project Server when you set the resource. You can replace all the local resources with enterprise resources.
3) Click file-release to publish the project to the Project Server. The release progress is displayed below the local project.
4. Project Center
All released projects are displayed in the Project Center. Click the project name to view the project details. Similar to the project client, click it to open the project and edit it, editing is not supported on the web, but you can create a project plan on the web.
5. Approval Center
Here we need to work with my tasks. Only users who update local clients can view the task progress submitted by group members in the approval center, however, the update progress of members on the Web is not automatically updated to the Project Center. Therefore, the project manager needs to update the local project according to the actual progress again.

In the task, you can view the tasks assigned by the project. You can submit the project progress update, modify, save, and submit here. In this case, the project management personnel can view the progress of the submitted project task in the approval center. Select a specific task and click accept.
Do not forget that the task progress of the project center has not been updated yet. You need to use the project client to open the project progress plan and re-release PWA.
6.2 problems and risks
6.2.1 Management Problems
Select a file on the local project client-the problem will pop up this project website (the website created at the first release)
In the navigation list, select problem-Add a new project, enter the user name in "owner" and "assign to", enter the problem content in the discussion text box, and the corresponding solution. At this time, the assigned person will see the problem assigned to him in "My work-problems and risks ".
6.2.2 management risks
Select the risk link in the project website navigation list. The method is the same as above.
6.3.3 manage deliverables
Select the deliverables in the project website navigation list and create relevant information.
7. Resources
7.1 Resource Center
In the resource center, you can view all project resources, select resources, and click to view work distribution and resource availability to view the work status of all resources.

7.2 status report
Any process that requires communication with other project personnel and archiving during the project can be implemented through the status report process.
1) Click the Status Report link in the navigation bar to view the two statuses: Please sum up and reply. Create a new status under the request, enter the relevant information, and select the person who wishes to reply to the request report, you can enter your own requirements and status in a paragraph.
2) at this time, the person who needs to reply to this status report can see this status report in the response, and can perform the reply operation.
8. Business Intelligence
The use of business intelligence in PWA is an independent site that allows you to set data sources and update various charts to display on your website. You can filter your desired data reports on your website. This branch will write a separate document, which is not described here.
