Use of render filters in Photoshop

When you hear the word "render," people who have used Photoshop are probably not unfamiliar.

Not only can it create clouds, flashes and refraction in the image, and so special lighting effects, but also can create three-dimensional objects (cubes, spheres and cylinders) and so on special effects, so you can say "rendering" Photoshop is a more practical set of filters (today I use its lighting effect to a friend to deal with a photo, much praise from friends, hehe, a sense of achievement oh. ^_^).

The render filter contains a total of six class child filters. From top to bottom they are in turn: 3D transforms, layered clouds, lighting effects, lens halos, texture fills, and clouds.

Let's talk about the lighting effect today.

The mirror consists of 17 different illumination effects, 3 illumination types and 4 sets of light properties. Using it, we can make a rich and colorful illumination effect on RGB image, and make a special effect like three-dimensional image on the texture of gray-scale file. And you can give full play to your imagination, to make your own style of the picture effect.

In order to save space, we use Photoshop's own picture Thai boat.tif as the original image.

You can invoke the lighting effects filter by performing filter/render/lighting effects (filter/render/lighting effects).

From top to bottom, let's introduce its function in turn:

1. Style: There are 17 different styles in the Drop-down example table of the Style box for you to choose from. When you select a preset style, you can modify the other properties of the illumination, and in the preview area on the left, drag the control point to change the position and lighting range of the light source.

2, Light type: There are 3 types (point light, all light and parallel light). The following is a set of parameters as shown in the figure below, and then the image effects of "light", "All Light" and "parallel Light" are used respectively.

3, Strength: can set the intensity of light irradiation, parameter set range between 100 to +100.

4, Focus: can set the lighting range of light, but only when the light source type select "Light" when it will work.

5, Gloss: is used to adjust the image of the reflective effect, moving the "small triangle" can be rough "miscellaneous edge" and "glow" between the transformation.

6, Materials: You can choose the light source to illuminate the object whether there is a strong reflective effect, the same move "small triangle" can be in the "plastic effect" and "metal texture" between the adjustment. is the plastic effect more obvious in the right picture?

7. Exposure: A friend who has used a camera should be familiar with it, right.

8, surround: Can adjust the light and indoor light mixing effect.

9, Texture Channel: Can be used to set up to handle the light irradiation channel of monochrome layer, for example, when performing the lighting effect filter, select Texture channel will render the image a three-dimensional relief effect.

Careful friends are not difficult to find, as long as any one of these options make a slight change, the effect of the picture will be different (to find this, you can show "Great Future"). Is it better to play your imagination and creativity? I personally think Photoshop's benefits lie there.

Of course, specific problems to be specific analysis, the specific picture must be dealt with. Deal with the good and bad, success or not, should be slowly groping, and constantly summing up experience. But remember one thing: The more you do, the more beautiful the image will become.
