2.OWC operation introduction:


In addition to the tool menu at the top, OWC mainly displays four areas: "filter area", "Row area", "column area", and "Measurement detail area ". The measurement details area can only contain fields under "summary" (that is, measurement. All fields except "summary" in the "PivotTable Field List" can be dragged to other areas except "Metric details. A field can only appear in one region and cannot appear in different regions at the same time.

3.The following describes how to use OWC through several reports.

1) analyze the case filing and resolution of police stations in different periods of time (from January 1, 2002 to January 1, 2006.

Drag the "solved" and "filed" fields under "summary" to the "Measurement details Area", and drag the "unit" to the "Row area ", drag the "Bill time" to the column area. A new report is displayed in the display area:

In this way, we can clearly analyze the filing and resolution situations of police stations in various years. In the time dimension, drill-down and drill-up can be performed based on the user hierarchy characteristics of the time dimension. For example, each year has a "+" sign, indicating that drill-down can be implemented and analysis can be performed at a finer time. We will start from 2003 to each quarter:

You can continue to drill down to the month in each quarter.

2) based on the preceding report, we add a calculation summary formula field to show the case-breaking rate to increase the decision support.

Click the computer icon in the menu to bring up the "commands and options" dialog box:

On the "calculation" Page, enter the calculation formula in the text area. Make sure that the input is correct and click the "change" button in the lower right corner of the page. A measurement field is displayed in the display area. By default, the new field is automatically named "New Summary". We will change it to the "Resolution rate", which is representative and easy to remember ". To display the percentage format, click the "format" Page and select "percentage" in the text format number drop-down box ":

By default, the parent directory of the newly added field is a summary, which is also required. However, the title "New Summary" is not what we need. Change it to "brute-force rate ":

Go back to the "computing" Page and click the "change" button. The new "brute-force rate" is displayed in advance:

Through this report, we found that, although the number of filing cases and damages increased from 2002 to 2006, we can find that the efficiency of police stations is improved by the case-breaking rate.

(2) We can also add the case type field in the screening area based on the preceding report. In this way, the case type will be used as the slice area, and the display area will display the analysis results of different case types or their combinations.

By default, All options of the filtering area are selected, that is, "All ". Modify the option of "Case Type:

Analyzes the number of cases, the number of records, and the rate of records filed for different cases (or any combination of these cases. By analyzing the data, we can find out the largest number of cases and how the case is solved.
