Use Photoshop to create diamond words

A very simple tutorial mainly uses glass filters, Layer Styles, layer applications, and color/saturation commands. For this example:

 

1. Create a 660x200 pixel document with a white background. Use a coarse font (for example, impact, with a font size of 140pt) to write text. If it is not ideal, you can use a free deformation tool to zoom in and move it to the center of the document using a mobile tool.

 

2. Raster the layer, load the selection area, select the glass distortion filter, set the curvature to 20, set the smoothness to 1, set the texture to a small lens, scale to 55%, and deselect the selection.

 

3. double-click the layer panel, open the layer style option, select stroke, the size is 10 pixels, center position, fill type select gradient, select copper gradient in the gradient list, And the rest follow the default mode.

 

4. then there is the slope and relief effect, select the stroke relief in the style, the method is smooth, the depth is 1000%, the direction is up, the size is 10 pixels, soften to 0 pixels; in the Shadow gloss contour line list, select "ring" to remove the sawtooth, and the rest are set by default. Now the metallic texture is ready.

 

5. in the following coloring work, we want to give the text a golden color. Of course, the color/saturation command is used. However, if the color is used now, you will find it, only the black and white pattern is changed, but the metal part is not changed. To modify this part, you must separate the layer effect from the layer. Only when the layer effect becomes a separate layer can we work on it. Right-click the effect and select "create layer" in the pop-up menu. In this way, three layers are added to the original layer, and the top embossed hidden layer is selected, create a layer on it and fill it with 50% gray scale. press ALT and click between Layer 1 and the hidden relief layer to group it. The gray part covers the original metal part; change the blending mode of Layer 1 to "soft light". Now you can use the color/saturation command to adjust the color with confidence. my options are 50, 100, and 0.

 

6. Fill the background in black, create a new layer on Layer 1, and use a star-type white spray gun of different sizes to spray the flash as the embellishment.
