There is no ready-made wood grain background, we can also make wood texture to achieve the font effect of wood characters:
1. Create a new file, width of pixels, height of 350pixels. Resolution 72pixel/inch, the mode is RGB Color, the background is white. Sets the foreground color to r:250,g:157,b:106 and the background color to r:108,g:46,b:22. Then use the Gradient tool to select a linear gradient from the foreground color to the background colour.

2. perform filter/brush strokes/sprayed strokes parameters as shown.

3. perform filter/artistic/paint daubs, parameters such as figure.

4. Press Shift+ctrl+x or perform edit/liquify to adjust the image to make it more like wood grain.

5. reset foreground and background colors, use the Text tool to enter text, here is used here is the impact font, size 100 points.

6. load the text selection, select the background layer, right-click on the background Layer pop-up menu on the Layers Panel select Layer Via Copy, generate new layer layer 1, and then delete the original wood text layer. Double-click Layer 1 to pull up Layer style panel. Set up Inner shadow,outer Glow,inner glow,bevel and Emboss respectively. Parameters as shown:
