Use PS to draw the maiden of spring with a wreath

The air is full of spring breath! Do you already feel it? With me, with warm and sunny mood, began to draw the following vivid flower illustration bar!—— a beautiful girl surrounded by gentle flowers and fresh green leaves! Follow the steps of the computer drawing, Use lasso tools and standard PS brush tools to create a fun effect! Let's start now!

1. Start with the sketch and get the basic graphics ready for the paint.

First step

I usually doodle on paper or Photoshop to sketch out the overall face of the work and to depict important details. This helps me to keep track of some of the artistic inspirations in my mind and prevent me from forgetting important details.

This time, I want to personify the spring and portray it as a maiden. Spring and the feeling of nature-pure, fresh and calm, waking slowly from slumber-will give us a source of inspiration.

I don't want the picture to be filled with too many background elements. Let us focus on a simple and clean portrait of a young girl in a garland of spring.

Second Step

Let's paint the most basic part of the picture, and the process will make the picture more vivid. First, use the Lasso tool (L) to select the girl's face frame, as shown below. Then keep the "Ant line" (selection) state, create a new layer, and then use the Paint Bucket tool (G) to fill the skin with a mild pale rose color.

Third Step

Continue to do the same step, box to select the shape of the body and fill its skin with the same color.

2. Use the Photoshop brush to color the line artwork

First step

Now that there are some parts filled with solid colors, to make them more dynamic and solid, we need to add texture and color blending. First of all, we are ready for the required brushes. Use the Brush tool (B), and then click the right mouse button on the canvas. Locate the pinion icon and display the Drop-down menu. Select the dry media brushes (Dry media brushes) and add them to your brush settings.

Second Step

Now select our skin (Skin) layer, hold down the ALT key and click the new Layer icon at the bottom of the layers panel. Check the box below: Create a clipping mask using the previous layer. Then click the OK button. So you have a new layer with a small arrow icon that connects to your "skin" layer. Now, you can paint in the contours of your skin without worrying about the edges of your face and body.

In the brush we just added, select [soft pastel] and a little bit of rosy shadows on the girl's neck.

Third Step

Now let's slowly carve out the contour of the girl's body, mainly in the use of more shadows. Don't be afraid to use shades of different shades of color. For example, pale blue or lilac colors are ideal for shades of shade, while warm, bright colours are ideal for high light. Draw a faint jaw projection on the neck with a soft lavender. Use the same color lavender to paint the shoulders and differentiate the arms from the chest, and highlight the smooth skin with bright highlights.

The human body, like everything else in the world, reflects the surroundings and the light and color of the object, and blends with the surroundings. Painting with ambient color projection can help us to shape the object more vivid and real, the image of three-dimensional.

Then a pink blush was painted on the girl's face. Continue to use lavender brush to deepen the eyelids of girls, but also highlight the cheekbones.

Fourth Step

The next step is to draw the main details of the face. First draw the thick lashes with the pen tool (P), in the corner of the eye with a pen to point to a starting point, and then tick a curve, click and hold down the ALT key to change the direction of the anchor point shown below, and then continue to draw a curve connected to the eyes of the outside corner of the eye.

Closes the path by connecting to the initial starting point. Click the right mouse button to find the selection options in the Drop-down menu and click, set the feather radius to 0 in the dialog box, and then get a selection of the "Ant line" from the pen path.

Finally, use the Paint bucket tool (G) tool to fill the selection with chocolate brown.

Fifth Step

Switch to the Brush tool (B) and select the Hard Side circle (Hard Round) brush from the default Photoshop round brush. Add a smooth, slightly curved line and outline the closed eyelids. Increase the thickness on the contour line that was originally created. Add some extra strokes to make your eyes more meticulous.

Sixth step

Use the Lasso tool (L) to outline elegant eyebrows.

Seventh Step

To continue with the next major facial feature, use the Pen tool (P) to create the lip, consistent with the way the eyelashes are sketched. Fill the created shape with a soft pink hue-a darker upper lip and a pale pink lower lip.

Eighth step

Draw some fine lines with the Brush tool (B) outline the shape of the girl's ear, and then draw the inner structure of the ear.

3. Design hairstyle, decorate your hair with a little garland

First step

First, create a new hair layer, pull out the approximate shape with a lasso tool (L), and create an area with a soft yellow fill to draw a golden bun.

Second Step

Add some more hair. In the original image can see the girl's face part of a block of hair, so we create a new layer under the skin, the cluster of dark curls out.

Third Step

Switch to the [soft paint crayon] brush again, create another clipping mask layer, and link to the "Hair" layer. Make the fill color slightly deeper than the base tone of the hair, add a soft shadow behind the girl's head to make it more plump and solid.

Continue to draw the hair, add dark side of the shadow and bright light. Reduce brush size, narrow to very fine strokes, respectively, to draw the effect of hair everywhere.
