As the following figure is a Word table, now we want to produce a sequence number from the second cell in the first column.
First, as in the following figure, select the cells that you want to produce an ordinal number.
Next, perform the menu action: "format" → "Bullets and Numbering", and pop up the following Figure dialog box.
In the diagram above, select the second tab "number", and then select an ordinal type, such as the second of this example. Of course, if you feel that these numbers do not meet your needs, then you click on the "Custom" button to set it, the following figure!
In the illustration above, we can set the numbering format, font, numbering style, starting number size, number alignment position, and so on. All settings are completed, click "OK" to complete.
The ordinal number is now automatically entered in the table, and when you delete a row or rows, the serial numbers are automatically adjusted to sequential numbers.
