The tools we want to prepare are:

Cisco TFTP tool (please download the attachment)

GNS3/CRT (this please find your own Niang)

1, configure GNS3 Road by the TFTP device connected:

Below we will prepare the following three (routing, switch 2 layer, cloud) in the GNS3 and connect them together.

2. Now we are going to start backing up the configuration file

What we must do before we make a backup: Ping the connectivity of the device, make sure the device is able to communicate properly, we will start the backup

From that, we can see that the configuration files in the Cisco device have been backed up to the TFTP server!!! The second step completes the task successfully.

3. Restore the configuration file from the TFTP server to the Cisco router.

Sometimes we change the configuration of the router or use the new device to replace the old device, and so on, we can not be a series of new devices to configure it? So we're not doing anything for ourselves? So we need to backup and restore the configuration files, it makes our work easier, but also can quickly solve the problem.

Let's restore our router configuration file: (In fact, this is very simple, just a few lines of command bar, see effect)
