Using Intel Mywifi technology to turn notebooks into WiFi hotspots

Prerequisite conditions

Intel my WiFi technology requires that this computer with a router must have a WiFi Link 5000 series wireless network card, and that the vast majority of notebooks currently on the market are equipped with Intel's latest 5000-series network adapters.

Operation method

1. Download Intel my WiFi program.

Log on to the Intel official website and find and download the corresponding version of the Intel ProSet/Wireless WiFi connection utility.

2, install Intel my WiFi program.

Note: Select the custom installation and select All.

The following is the first time that you have configured a "profile" method. Once configured, you will only need to enable Intel my WiFi technology later.

3. Locate the Intel my WiFi icon from the tray and open the Intel my WiFi utility.

4, open "profile".

5, edit the preset profile.

6, in the regular page, in the Network name location to write their name to the network. In the Security page, change the password to a better memory password, easy to enter when the phone is online.

With the above steps, the Intel my WiFi utility is configured. The following two steps can be followed by mobile phone wireless internet.

7. Click on the tray icon to enable Intel my WiFi technology.

Once started, you will see a "Wireless network connection" status changed to OK.

8, set the share.

If you are dialing on the Internet, set up sharing on the broadband connection.

If it is a local area network, set up the share on the local connection.

Share to the wireless network connection after step 7th, when the status becomes OK.

Mobile Internet

1, the mobile phone detected WiFi signal, enter the previous configuration password, you can access the Internet.

2, if the IP address is not available, you can view the IP address of the wireless connection, the mobile phone set to the fixed IP address Internet.

I set the address of the wireless connection to 192.168.2.1, and the phone is set to 192.168.2.20 with the network segment.

3, if the phone is connected, still not on the net, or the speed of the Internet is very slow, you can use the following methods to eliminate the problem:

(1) Turn off the WLAN on the phone and turn it on.

(2) Disable and enable the wireless connection on the computer.
