Windows 2000 has many ways to implement automatic timing shutdowns, such as borrowing Windows 98 Rundll.exe, or borrowing Windows XP Shutdown.exe commands. In fact, the use of compressed software winrar in the RAR command can also achieve automatic timing shutdown:
The first step: Right click on the desktop space, select "new → shortcut", pop-up "Create Shortcuts" window, click "Browse", in Browse folder window to find WinRAR installation directory D:\Program Files\winrar\rar.exe, press "OK".
Step two: In the Select Program Title window, type the name of the shortcut "RAR shutdown" and click "Finish" to return to the desktop.
Step three: Right click on the "Rar shutdown" shortcut, select "Properties", under the "Shortcut" tab "Application" text box D:\Program Files\winrar\rar.exe after adding the command "-ioff", Note that Rar.exe and-ioff are separated by spaces, select Minimize in the Run as window, and press OK.
Fourth step: To shut down, just double-click the "RAR shutdown" shortcut, WinRAR will automatically shut down the system.
It should be noted that to achieve the shutdown function, you need to use the WinRAR version 3.11. The above methods also apply to Windows 98/XP.
If you set up a batch file "rar shutdown. Bat", the content of "D:\progra~1\winrar\rar.exe-ioff" will also achieve the same effect.
In addition, scheduled shutdown can be implemented using the Task Scheduler. First set up a new task in Task Scheduler, select the WinRAR installation directory D:\Program Files\winrar\rar.exe, and then go to the advanced properties of this task. In the Run text box, add the parameter "-ioff" after "D:\Program Files\winrar\rar.exe", note that Rar.exe and "-ioff" are separated by spaces, click "Set Password", enter a password and confirm the password, click "OK" two times.
When set, WinRAR automatically shuts down at the scheduled time of the task schedule.
