Views and fields

A view is a virtual table that is a table from one or more tables in a database. Views can also be defined from views that already exist. The database contains only the definition of the view, and there is no data to hold the view.

 create  [  ]  view  view name [  (property list)    Select  statement [ with [cascaded| LOCAL    check  option  ]algorithm is an optional parameter that represents the algorithm for the View Selection: Property List: Specifies the rank of each property in the view  with  check  option   means to ensure that the view is updated within the permission range of the view cascaded optional parameters represent conditions for all related views and tables to be met when the view is updated
