VirtualBox How to create a virtual machine

1. Preparing for the creation of a VirtualBox virtual machine

First name the virtual machine and select the type of operating system, and then configure the amount of memory that you plan to assign to each virtual machine. VirtualBox does not support excessive memory use, so you cannot assign a virtual machine a memory value that exceeds the size of the host's memory.

You can then create a virtual disk and specify the type and size of the virtual machine disk file, and you can choose a dynamically expanding disk or a fixed size disk. The dynamic disk start value is small, increasing as the client operating system writes data to disk.

2, run the VirtualBox software, click on the top left corner of the "new", entered the "New Virtual Computer Wizard" interface, directly click "Next"

3. You can then name the virtual machine and select the system you want to install. Choosing the right system to install allows VirtualBox to help you configure the appropriate hardware environment

4. Allocate the amount of memory for the virtual machine. If your memory is less than 512MB, keep the default configuration, if the 512MB and 1G between can be set to 256MB, if it is more than 1G can be set 384MB or more.

5, then start to create a hard disk, select "Create New Hard disk" press "Next"

6, then came to the "New Virtual hard Disk Wizard", directly click "Next"

7, this step, the user needs to choose the type of disk created. If your hard drive is not big enough to use, select "Dynamic Expansion"

8, here to choose the location to store the hard disk image and the size of the hard disk image. If your virtual machine is just for packaging software, then the default 10G space is enough.

9, this time can confirm the hard drive information, click "Finish"

10, reconfirm the information of the virtual computer, click "Finish"
