Introduction to the trial environment
The architecture of VMware view consists of the four most important parts:
View connect server, connect to the client, perform user authentication, and request desktop resources. Some management functions are provided at the same time.
Active dictionaryserver, which provides Windows domain management to support identity management and authentication of VMware view.
View agent is installed on a machine that provides desktop resources to assist in session, remote logon, redirection, and other work.
View client: the client executes the client to connect to the view desktop. Each OS and platform has corresponding client software support.
This trial package includes three virtual machines:
Manager acts as the view connect server, IP: 192.168.110.120, and administratorpassword [email protected]
Active dictionary server, IP: 192.168.110.121, administratorpassword [email protected]
The agent acts as the view agent, IP: 192.168.110.122, administratorpassword [email protected]
You can install the corresponding view client software on your laptop, desktop, iPad, and other terminal devices.
Start the server (Be sure to pay attention to the Starting sequence of the virtual machine)
1) start the first Active Directory virtual machine. Active Directory Virtual Machine IP Address: 192.168.110.121, Username Password: Administrator/q1w2e3. You must perform operations on other virtual machines after confirming that the Active Directory virtual machine is started. When a login form is displayed on the virtual machine interface, the VM is successfully started.
2) Start the manager virtual machine, IP Address: 192.168.110.120, Username Password: Administrator/[email protected]. The confirmation method is as follows.
3) restart the agent virtual machine.
Note: The Virtual Machine network and host, as well as the Virtual Machine and virtual machine must be pingable. In addition to the Manager, its Firewall is not closed, so ping fails, however, it can ping other machines.
If the network is disconnected, check whether the connection mode of the three VMS is in the brige bridging mode. Open the VM settings form and check whether the network adaptor label has been selected. After the network is set, if the ping fails, you can restart the virtual machine. If not, you can configure all virtual machines in a pure CIDR block using the Virtual Machine network nodes defined by yourself.
This step is important, but not difficult. Pay attention to the following points:
A) All machines must be in the same network segment.
B) the DNS of all machines must be the same as the IP address of AD (the DNS of AD is not written by default ).
View client configuration and Desktop Connection
Install and start view client 4.6 on the desktop. Enter the IP address of the Connect server and click Connect.
Note: If the operating system must be 32-bit or 64-bit, download the corresponding version number.
Enter username: testview, password: [email protected], and select ibmview. Click login.
After successful login, select agent0 and click Connect.
After the connection is successful, a view desktop form is displayed. This form can be displayed in full screen mode, and the software and documents can be executed and viewed.
Note: Enter the IP address of the manager. Some problems may occur: 1) For example, if the connection fails, you must check whether the ping operation is successful. 2) For example, if the logon result shows a usernamepassword error, you must check whether your usernamepassword is correct. Here, username is a user in the Manager.
3) In the end, the system may be busy, so you can restart the active server and connect to the view client. I can restart it once.
Finally, the three VMS are configured by the Teacher. All we have done is to install the VMware view client desktop cloud.
