UniveRSS adopts the Windows Online installation method. The installation file size is 336KB. After installation, you need to communicate with the online server before each startup.
2. RSS favorites
UniveRSS directly calls RSS content from your IE 7 RSS favorites. Therefore, you need to add an RSS favorites before you can see the "RSS cube" in UniveRSS ". Each square represents an RSS favorites. clicking the square will display the RSS name below.
However, you cannot place RSS blocks in UniveRSS at will. You can only right-click and drag the screen to switch the angle of view and adjust the distance with the mouse scroll axis-in general, it is not convenient.
3. RSS reading
Click the RSS box to display the title of the RSS content. Click the title to view the specific content.
On the details page, you can adjust the font size and layout of the article. It is worth mentioning that reading RSS is quite comfortable under the Vista font of Vista.
Click the IE Logo in the upper right corner to open the page directly in IE 7.0.
4. resource usage
The usage of UniveRSS resources surprised us very much, even in the E6300 + GeIL DDR2-800 2 GB + X1950XT system, CPU usage is also "stable" around 50%, A few RSS feeds have occupied more than 60 MB of memory, which is also complained by foreign testing users.
5. Summary
UniveRSS is still incomplete in terms of functionality and performance, but for the first time it clearly shows Microsoft's new development direction for reading and displaying PC, combining plain text and images with 3D space will become a major trend in office and reading in the future. Of course, it is based on the continuous upgrade of graphic hardware.
