This seems to be upgraded to edgy after the problem, has been good, and now start vncserver after the connection is not: VNC Viewer version 3.3.7–built June 4 2006 10:04:48 Copyright (C) 2002-200 3 RealVNC Ltd. Copyright (C) 1994-2000 at&t Laboratories Cambridge. Http://www.realvnc.com for information on VNC. Vncviewer:ConnectToTcpAddr:connect:Connection refused unable to connect to VNC server
To the server to see, the port is not listening at all, see Vncserver log found the following error: Wed Feb 00:25:46 2007 vncext:vnc, extension running! Vncext:listening for VNC connections in Port 5901 vncext:created VNC Server for screens 0 Error opening security policy F Ile/etc/x11/xserver/securitypolicy could not init font path element/usr/share/x11/fonts/ttf/, removing from list! Query here and here just know, is because Vncserver can't find the font, so they quit.
The solution to this, the recommended use of the command "Vncserver-fp/usr/share/fonts/x11/misc" started some too cumbersome; here, the modification of the/usr/bin/vncserver script seems to be a bit cumbersome, And after my experiment was not successful, and here the recommended method of the LN directory is not taken,/usr/share/x11/fonts/misc directory there are other documents. So, anyway, I also want to modify the Vncserver listening port, so simply on the/usr/bin/vncserver to move a small hands and feet:
In/usr/bin/vncserver about 157 lines: # ADD font path and color database stuff here, e.g.: # $cmd. = "-fp/usr/lib/x11/fonts/mi sc/,/usr/lib/x11/fonts/75dpi/"; # $cmd. = "-co/usr/lib/x11/rgb";
We can install examples here, customize the cmd parameters you need, write here, and vncserver-fp ... The nature of the order is the same, such as we add a line: $cmd. = "-fp/usr/share/fonts/x11/misc/";
Note the ". =" instead of "=" and the last semicolon ";" Don't forget, it's OK to start vncserver now.
Connected to the Vncviewer found after the VNC upgrade is still improved, I did not modify the Xstartup, so has been using the default X interface, previously only open a window, want to multi-task words still not (graphical interface), now good, although the window ugly some, But it can be reduced to an icon, but also can resize (although not very good), position, than before there is progress. Look at my screenshot on the right, the icon on the left is Poison Frog azureus, color did not turn over, not quite like it, hehe.
"Note" is mainly to modify the/usr/bin/vncserver, this I tried, set up after the normal start vncserver, you need to pay attention to this font, that is/usr/lib/x11/fonts/misc/... exist on your Linux, and different Linux directories are slightly differentiated.
