Ways to customize document styles in Word2013
1, open the Start tab, click the Style button in the Styles group
Opens the Styles pane, which provides a built-in style of word 2013 for users to use, as shown in Figure 1.

Attention
When you position the mouse pointer over an option in the Styles pane, you will be able to display the specific settings for the font, paragraph, and style that the item corresponds to.
2. In the Ribbon Styles group, click the New Style button to open the Create new style based on Formatting dialog box and set the style in the dialog box, as shown in Figure 2.

Attention
The style type Drop-down list is used to set the type used by the style. The style base Drop-down list is used to specify a built-in style as the benchmark for the setting. The subsequent paragraph style drop-down list is used to set the style of subsequent paragraphs for the text to which the style is applied. If you need to apply the style to other documents, you can select the new document based on this template radio button. If you only need to apply to the current document, you can select the "only this document" radio button.
3, click OK to close the Create new style based on Formatting dialog box, the new style you create can be added to the list in the Styles pane and the list of styles in the Ribbon Styles group, as shown in Figure 3.
